Art for Haiti
Watching what is going on in Haiti has left me stunned. When we got back from our trip to Les Cayes this past June, the one way I knew I could help the orphans we met was through my art. That is what I'm doing again. More portraits of those in Haiti are on the way - the goal: to raise money for the recovery efforts. But we can't forget that even those who didn't lose their home in other areas of the country, are still in need of help. Our orphans in Les Cayes especially.
New Commissioned Work
This is a piece I did for my friend Leah. Her home is SUPER cute. A 1BR Condo in Fort Lauderdale that she has decorated in an eclectic style. She's been dying for some art that is "vintage, modern, tropical" so with that in mind, I created this triptych for her living room. Enjoy Leah!!!
New Work In Progress
These are a couple of mixed media pieces I'm working on right now. I don't know where it's taking me but I've been inspired to create a series of smaller works (these are 10"x10") of very intricate lace inspired designs on top of collaged papers, covered by heavy glazes. Right now, these aren't done but I don't know what's next. Color? Perhaps. We shall see!
